IT jobs in Australia through General Skilled Migration

One of the main routes to getting IT work in Australia for migrants is through the General Skilled Migration (GSM) scheme. Immigration Australia applicants must demonstrate that their skills meet the criteria of the GSM Skilled Occupation List (SOL). Among the IT occupations currently on the list are:

In order to qualify, migrants must have their skills certified by the relevant assessing body, in this case the Australian Computer Society. As with the SOL for GSM, applicants must be filling a job in an occupation covered by the Employer Nomination Scheme Occupation List (ENSOL) and provide the relevant proof of skills assessment.
